Moloco, a manufacturer of HO scale trucks and detailed parts, is now accepting reservations for its latest car, the American Automobiles and Foundry (ACF) 100-ton 50-foot high cubic double-slippery boxcar with outer columns. The HO scale model is scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.
This boxcar is based on a prototype for loading pulpboard and will be decorated for Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe (BX-154 class: red-black scheme delivered in April 1972, with a large circle cross pioneer and "Super Impact") 7-digit control" and a 1988 repainted; BX-163: the red and black color scheme delivered in April 1973, with a six-digit large circle cross logo, and a circle cross in 1991 "Quality" logo repainted by a number); Burlington North (nine digits delivered in April 1972); and BNSF Ry. (Repainted with a circular cross pioneer in 1998, a number). It will also be provided based on ATSF And the undecorated kit of the BN prototype.
Features of this model include car number-specific handbrake (Ajax, Ellcon-National, Equipco, Klasing or Universal), 8-foot plug door, ACF towing device, multiple door stop versions, rubber air hose, metal angle band, prototype -Specific 100 ton trucks, metal wheelsets, three types of underframe configurations and/or cushioning devices, detailed Stanray ends and Kadee proportional whisker couplers.
Moloco will accept boxcar reservations by December 26, 2021. The pricing of this model will be consistent with that of trucks currently ready for operation.
