Accidents: May 12: A squad vehicle had an accident in Park Rapids.

Animal Related: May 9: A 119th Ave. caller complained about a neighbor’s dogs being out; A County 36 caller had questions about her neighbor’s goats that keep getting on her property;

May 10: A caller reported an injured deer in the ditch, needing to be dispatched; A County 31 caller reported the driver of a four-door Chevy pickup with used tires in the bed shot and injured a beaver and left, and caller put the beaver down; A caller complained about a dog barking constantly on the north side of Shallow Lake;

May 11: North Memorial Ambulance reported a car-deer accident;

May 12: A County 33 caller reported a dog showed up at his place with a face full of quills, and caller was unsure what to do;

May 13: A 129th Ave. caller reported a dead bear in the woods near the river, with gloves nearby and signs that someone attempted to cover it up;

May 14: A Crow Wing Lake Twp. caller complained that a neighbor’s dogs kept barking, saying they talked to them and nothing was done; A 250th St. caller reported a dog bite;

May 15: A caller picked up a dog in Nevis that she believed was hit by a vehicle, and took it to the Akeley muni.

Assaults/Harassment: May 10: A Laporte caller reported their son being bullied and pushed on multiple occasions; A County 1 caller reported a verbal domestic dispute, saying she “needed things sorted out or someone was going to jail”;

May 11: A County 48 caller reported a suspected violation of a restraining order; A Farden Twp. caller reported being choked by her boyfriend; A Nevis caller reported the respondent of a protection order driving by the petitioner’s residence; A Straight River Twp. caller wanted to speak to an officer about a possible violation of an order for protection; A Farden Twp. caller reported she was afraid of her sister;

May 13: A 200th St. caller reported being harassed and not allowed back on his property;

May 14: A Nevis caller reported a violation of a court order involving a male who parked his Subaru at the end of the road, and caller said she was afraid of him; A 230th St. callre reported a male threatening caller while trying to retrieve property; A State Hwy. 64 caller in the Akeley area reported two males arguing over a truck, and there was a lot of yelling, and caller said he would meet officer at a gas station, then hung up; A Nevis Twp. caller reported detrimental information was being posted online; A Nevis caller asked to speak with an officer about her ex-boyfriend’s sister harassing her on Facebook;

May 15: Law enforcement checked out a group yelling in Nevis; A White Oak Twp. caller reported someone making threats to go over and ruin stuff on his property; A Laporte caller said she asked an intoxicated male in a GMC Yukon to turn down his music and he yelled ather, and caller suspected he had been driving under the influence.

Burglaries/Theft: May 9: A Nevis caller reported a $33.91 gas drive-off involving a Honda SUV occurred on May 7; A Rockwood Twp. caller reported an open garage door and a broken lock on another door at a vacant house that had been foreclosed on; A Farden Twp. caller reported their home was broken into during the weekend, and they were unsure what was missing; A 110th St. caller reported survey stakes were removed; A residential burglar alarm was activated in Lake Emma Twp.;

May 10: A Nevis Twp. caller reported receiving mail that he believed was a scam; A caller reported funds stolen from her EBT card while she was incarcerated in Park Rapids;

May 11: A commercial burglar alarm was activated at a seed warehouse on County 48; A residential garage door alarm was activated on County 93, and no keyholders could be reached;

May 13: Entry-exit and bedroom door alarms were activated in Nevis Twp.;

May 14: A cabin front entry alarm was activated on County 18;

May 15: An Akeley caretaker believed someone may have broken into the residence.

Fires: May 9: A State Hwy. 226 caller reported the vacant lot next to his property had a power pole down;

May 15: A 180th St. caller reported a brush fire he could not extinguish with buildings nearby; A 470th St. caller reported a brush fire with buildings nearby.

Medical: May 9: An ambulance was requested in Fern Twp. for a female having pain radiating down her shoulder and arm; An ambulance was requested on 219th Ave. for a female having chest pains; An ambulance was requested in White Oak Twp. for a female possibly having a heart attack; An ambulance was requested in Nevis Twp. for a 27-year-old female with possible heart issues, unable to move with cramps all over her body; An ambulance was requested in Farden Twp. for a 4-year-old who fell on glass and cut their leg; An ambulance was requested on County 23 for a male possibly having a stroke;

May 10: A 91-year-old female on County 30 activated her medical alarm and reported having difficulty breathing;

May 11: An ambulance was requested on County 18 for a 90-year-old female who collapsed, possibly having a stroke;

May 13: An ambulance was requested on 160th St. for a 90-year-old female who was awake and breathing but unable to talk; An ambulance was requested on 354th St. for a female having chest pains; An ambulance was requested in Lakeport Twp. for a 77-year-old female possibly having a stroke;

May 14: An ambulance was requested on 500th St. for a male having a seizure and bleeding in his mouth; An ambulance was requested on County 119 for a 37-year-old male who fell, hit his head and was not responding well;

May 15: An ambulance was requested on 450th St. for someone with a history of heart issues whose defibrillator kept going off.

Miscellaneous: May 9: A bank employee trying to change the locks on a foreclosed house in Farden Twp. reported there was a male trespassing inside the house; A Nevis caller reported an unknown vehicle had been parked in front of her house for three days;

May 10: Law enforcement checked on a couple of suspicious vehicles at Farris Park; A caller in Akeley suspected she was being followed by two trucks all the way from Motley, saying when she allowed them to pass, they continually slowed down in front of her and only moved on when she stopped to call; A 410th St. caller returning to his residence found an unknown Chevy Impala with four occupants, which took off at high speed; An open-line 911 call from Farden Twp. had no sounds in the background and no answer upon callback; A County 48 caller complained about his vehicle being towed away from his former residence without permission; A caller requested officer assistance retrieving property from a Nevis residence; A County 33 caller complained about a motorist revving their engine while passing caller’s driveway all night long;

May 11: A 275th Ave. caller reported her sister-in-law was hacking into her Wi-Fi; A caller requested officer assistance retrieving her property from a County 31 address;

May 12: A caller reported finding a silver canoe; A 150th St. caller reported a suspicious male was caught on camera pulling onto their property and checking the door; Law enforcement patrolled a high school sporting event in Nevis;

May 13: Law enforcement was requested to assist with an eviction in Park Rapids; A County 80 caller had questions about sheriff’s deputies marking catalytic converters; A Nevis Twp. caller reported finding a small boat on his shoreline, described as bigger than a rowboat but with no motor; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller in the Park Rapids area reported four suspicious people on the property asking for rides to Bemidji, and said someone at the bar brought them water but they would not leave; A 230th St. caller requested officer assistance regarding an unknown car on his property and other issues; A caller requested officer assistance retrieving property on County 1; A Hubbard Twp. caller said he was cleaning out a storage unit and found possible evidence of criminal activity; Law enforcement checked out a suspicious vehicle in Akeley; A caller had questions that he would only discuss with a Hubbard County deputy;

May 14: A caller had questions for an officer about property retrieval on County 1; A County 110 caller reported her boyfriend changed the locks and wouldn’t let her into her house; A Henrietta Twp. caller was suspicious about a motorcycle parked behind a building and a mattress leaning against the building;

May 15: Law enforcement checked out a suspicious vehicle with one male occupant in Laporte; Law enforcement checked out two suspicious vehicles; A Helga Twp. caller reported someone hit a road sign and threw it into caller’s yard; Law enforcement checked on a suspicious vehicle in Farden Twp.; A Steamboat River Twp. caller said his friend was en route to pick him up several hours ago and when he last heard from her she had gotten lost, but he didn’t know if she made it back home; A 200th St. caller said he was putting in a fence and he came back to find his fence posts pulled out of the ground; Law enforcement checked on a suspicious four-wheeler.

Traffic: May 9: A caller reported a downed tree across a roadway; A caller reported a large tree across the road on a curve; An officer responded to a tree blocking the roadway on County 39;

May 10: A 119th Ave. caller reported property damage caused by a driver making burn marks on the way out of a fence; An officer assisted a motorist in changing a tire;

May 11: A Mantrap Twp. caller reported a fallen tree completely blocking a roadway; Two motorist assists were requested; An officer provided a courtesy ride;

May 12: A large tree across the road was reported; A caller reported a Ford truck attempted to run him off the road;

May 13: Three callers reported trees down on the roadway; A school bus stop arm violation was reported; Law enforcement checked stopped an ATV;

May 14: Motorist assist was requested for a Toyota Corolla that ran out of gas on the side of the highway, and its driver was unable to contact anyone else; A caller reported a vehicle almost hit him; Law enforcement stopped an ATV; A caller reported two dirt bikes tearing up a closed snowmobile trail; An ATV violation was reported; Law enforcement stopped an ATV and a dirt bike; A Suzuki was reported swerving all over the road; A crew-cab pickup with a topper traveling through Nevis was reported swerving all over the road; Motorist assist was requested for a vehicle parked with its hazard lights on; Law enforcement checked on a vehicle on County 18.
