MINI only upgraded the current hatchback model last year, which is a bit unusual considering that this is the second facelift of the car. Although we even saw an updated version of the hatchback under the guise of MINI Electric, it looks like we will launch a new model soon. At least some recent photos seem to be like this.

According to the Instagram leak, MINI Electric will soon have a new face, which is very worth seeing. Looking at these leaked pictures, the new MINI Electric seems to have a very simple front panel with everything blocked to make it as aerodynamic as possible, while the rear end is brand new. As one would expect from an electric car, the exhaust pipes are not visible, and the taillights are newly designed and seem to be "connected" with a piece of black trim.

Overall, the design is very simple and the door handles are flush, all of which show that the focus is on making this car as aerodynamic as possible. However, bigger news came, because internal photos have also been posted online. There, we can discover the brand new settings of the dashboard. Everything has been cleaned up, and we see a huge circular display in the middle, which probably also includes a speedometer and tachometer, just like on the original MINI. Right below it, we can also find HVAC controls.

This is definitely the new MINI that was made fun of at the beginning of last month. The British car manufacturer did announce that it is developing a new generation of products and released some teaser photos under heavy camouflage. However, the brand does point out that it will only arrive at dealers in 2023, so we may see it fully unveiled at the end of next year. At the same time, because of this leak, we already have a good idea of ​​what to expect.

We also contacted MINI to confirm that this is indeed the new MINI Electric.
