Rideshare driver carjacked in Oak Park: Police – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from area police department reports and news releases. an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

A rideshare driver’s car was reportedly hijacked at gunpoint on July 15 in the 700 block of Lyman Avenue.

Nearly $3,000 was reported stolen July 20 by two men who pointed handguns at clerk and the manager at a store in the 6700 block of Roosevelt Road and demanded they empty the cash register and a safe. Both suspects fled the store.

Unlawful use of a weapon

Jonathan Alfred, 22, of the 1400 block of South Elmwood Avenue, Berwyn, was charged July 18 with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 6800 block of Roosevelt Road.

Roberta Walker, 48, of the 5900 block of West Corcoran Place, Chicago, was charged with aggravated assault on July 17.

Nick Razzino, 19, of the 400 block of South Ridgeland Avenue, Oak Park, on July 16 was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and aggravated use of a weapon following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Madison street in a minivan that had been reported stolen in Oak Park July 15.

Harold Barnes, 23, of the 00 block of South Boulevard was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Madison Street in a Chrysler minivan reported stolen in Oak Park on July 15. Barnes also was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Forest Park.

Javonte Fox, 28, of the 900 block of South Clarence Avenue, Oak Park, was charged with criminal trespass to real property.

Phillip Shockley, 22, of the 1700 block of North Linder Avenue, Chicago, on July 16 was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle that took place in the 700 block of Garfield Avenue.

Reginald Gholston, 55, of the 100 block of South Waller Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft and battery following an incident at a store in the 400 block of Madison Street.

Robert Tiller III, 40, of the 500 block of Lynn Terrace, Waukegan, on July 16 was arrested in Zion on an outstanding Oak Park warrant.

Cash was reported stolen from a wallet after the ransacking of a 2015 Honda Civic parked in the 400 block of Washington Boulevard. Estimated loss was $100.

The glove compartment and center console were reportedly ransacked July 14 in a 2013 Honda CRV parked in the 00 block of Augusta Street.

Two bicycles and a pressure washer were reported stolen July 18 from the garage of a home in the 1100 block of Hayes Avenue. Entry was gained through the open overhead door. Estimated loss was $2,000.

Two bicycles were reported stolen July 15 from the garage of a home in the 100 block of North Cuyler Avenue. Entry was gained through an unlocked side service door. Estimated loss was $1,300.

A bookbag containing a Dell laptop was reported stolen July 20 from an unlocked Chevy Express van parked in the 100 block of South Oak Park Avenue. Estimated loss was $1,020.

A metal case containing a tire gauge and flashlight were reported stolen July 20 from a 2007 Infiniti G3X parked in the 1000 block of South Humphrey Avenue. Estimated loss was $60.

A phone charger and owner’s manual were reported stolen July 19 from a 2011 Mazda parked in the 200 block of North Austin Boulevard. Estimated loss was $120.

A set of car keys was reported stolen July 19 from the center console of an unlocked 2010 Honda Insight parked in the 200 block of South Maple Avenue. Estimated loss was $15.

The interior of an unlocked Nissan Rogue parked in the 400 block of South Elmwood Avenue was reportedly ransacked on July 19; nothing was stolen.

House keys, sunglasses, a wallet and a purse containing cash and various cards were reported stolen July 17 from an unlocked Ford Escape parked in the 1100 block of South Harvey Avenue. Estimated loss was $1,000.

Cash, credit/debit cards and other forms of identification were reported stolen July 15 from an unlocked 2015 Ford sedan parked in the 1000 block of South Austin Boulevard. Estimated loss was $5.

A Nintendo switch gaming system and coins were reported stolen after an apartment in the 1100 block of South Boulevard was ransacked on July 17. Estimated loss was $400.

The overhead garage door to a home in the 1000 block of Erie Street was reportedly tagged with red spray paint.

The exterior brick wall at a business in the 800 block of South Boulevard on July 20 was reportedly tagged with red spray paint. Estimated damage was $300.

A man reportedly exposed himself to two juveniles walking July 14 in the 1000 block of South Grove Avenue.
