Design Middle East Visit the Museum of the Future and explore the doors and entrance systems of Bauporte and Gulf in more detail

The Museum of the Future has recently been successfully named one of the 14 most beautiful museums in the world by National Geographic. Dubai has once again built an iconic world-class monument, which is bound to become the next cultural landmark in this ever-changing city. But let us focus on some of the architectural and design elements that contributed to it being considered one of the most complex architectural innovations in modern times. Design Middle East has the opportunity to take a closer look at the museum's futuristic door and entrance system, and why these are important to the overall look and feel of the building, and how they will contribute to the visitor experience. The last impression is very important.

The first thing visitors will notice about this architectural marvel is that the exterior structure is decorated with Arabic calligraphy. Here are some of Sheikh Mohammed's most iconic quotes, including: "We may not live for hundreds of years, but our creativity can leave a legacy long after we leave" and "Future It belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it...the future will not wait...the future can be designed and built today."

Not only is it amazing, but the unconventional torus museum also has a futuristic feel, and its design has a profound meaning behind it. Killa Design, a Dubai-based architecture company, won the museum's design competition in 2015 and designed the shape. According to the architect, the physical part of the structure represents the knowledge we have today. The blank in the middle represents what we don't know yet, in other words-the future.

After the official opening of each person's experience, a large-scale exhibition spread over four floors will showcase the possible future of outer space development, ecosystems and bioengineering, and human health and well-being.

Design Middle East focused on the museum's door and entrance system and talked with Paul Haslam, partner of Bauporte Gulf in Dubai. Bauporte was invited to be the preferred entrance supplier for the project, and designed and manufactured ultra-high automatic revolving doors and pivot doors for the two main public entrances of this iconic building. They enable architects and designers to achieve fully integrated entrance facades, where tall revolving doors are a key element in creating a superior architectural user experience.
